Come join us on Friday, August 15, at 6pm for special screening of the Colombian classic La estrategia del caracol (The Strategy of the Snail), followed by a fun group discussion in Spanish!
This clever and heartwarming film tells the story of a group of low-income tenants in Bogotá who are being evicted from their building. Rather than give up their homes without a fight, they band together to create an ingenious — and slightly absurd — plan to take control of their fate. It’s a unique blend of comedy, social commentary, and human resilience, full of memorable characters and sharp wit.
After the movie, stick around for a discussion in Spanish led by Ryan Woodall. It’s a perfect chance to practice listening and speaking in a relaxed, social setting! Drinks will be provided! Limited to 12 students. Please note that you need to be in the High Intermediate or Advanced levels to attend. Cost to attend is $30 and you can use your $15 course credit toward this event. Drinks will be provided!
