Join us on Friday, July 25, at 6pm for a fun movie night featuring Pedro Almodóvar’s iconic comedy Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown). This colorful, fast-paced film is a rollercoaster of emotion, drama, and absurd humor — and a great way to experience Spanish culture and language through cinema!
The story follows Pepa, a voice actress in Madrid, whose life begins to spiral after her lover abruptly leaves her. As she tries to track him down, chaos ensues with a cast of eccentric characters, mistaken identities, and unexpected twists. It’s funny, dramatic, stylish — and pure Almodóvar.
After the movie, stick around for a discussion in Spanish led by Ryan Woodall. It’s a perfect chance to practice listening and speaking in a relaxed, social setting! Drinks will be provided! Limited to 12 students. Please note that you need to be in the Intermediate level or higher to attend. Cost to attend is $30 and you can use your $15 course credit toward this event. Drinks will be provided!
