Trip Option 1: Easter Island (5 days, 5 nights, starting at $1500, excluding airfare)

If you have ever been curious about Easter Island and the mysterious moai statues, this is the trip for you! We will explore the entire island with locals, including the quaint village of Hanga Roa, including the anthropology museum, local church, cemetery, numerous cafés and restaurants. Get ready for amazing hiking, biking, horseback riding, and swimming as we explore the rest of the island. We’ll have the opportunity to visit the beautiful beach, the inactive volcanos, which now contain fresh water lakes, the ceremonial village. The highlight, of course, is the statues themselves, which are spread throughout the island. There is nothing more amazing than coming upon these statues when nobody else is around. Finally, we will enjoy a number of amazing meals together while taking in the breathtaking sunsets every evening.

Trip Option 2: Easter Island + Santiago and Valparaíso (7 days, 7 nights, starting at $2000, excluding airfare to/from U.S. and to/from Easter Island)

In addition to the Easter Island itinerary above, some travelers may be interested in visiting Santiago and Valparaíso. Please do keep in mind that this trip price does not include airfare from the U.S. nor to Easter Island. Sometimes you can find great prices for flights from Santiago to Easter Island, which would make the Santiago and Valparaíso add-on worth the extra cost. Highlights in Santiago include historic walking tour, Pablo Neruda Foundation, Cathedral, Museo de la Memoria, Bellavista neighborhood & overlook. We will take a half-day to have a private tour and wine tasting at a winery in the Casablanca Valley. Valparaíso highlights include a walking tour, the lively mercado central for fresh fruits, veggies, and popular restaurants, and of course a tour of the colorful hills & antique elevators that Valpo is so known for.

PRICING

The Easter Island option price starts at $1500, based on double occupancy hotel rooms, with final price being determined by number in group. Itinerary is five days and five nights, with travelers flying directly to Easter Island.

The Easter Island + Santiago, Valparaíso add-on starts at $2000, based on double occupancy hotel rooms, with final price being determined by number in group. Itinerary is seven days and seven nights, with travelers flying directly to Santiago, Chile. Travelers will also have to purchase round-trip tickets from Santiago, Chile, to Easter Island.

TRIP DATES

Easter Island has a pleasant climate year-round, which allows for a lot of flexibility for trip dates. Plane tickets from the U.S. can be quite costly, but will be cheaper outside of high season, which is from January-March. Prices will be cheaper the rest of the year.
